The U.N. Security Council (UNSC) has denounced in the strongest terms "the cowardly terrorist act" in Cairo, which killed about 20 person and injured almost 40 others.
Chamber inpiduals said in an announcement Tuesday that the culprits, coordinators, agents and supporters of Sunday's " reprehensible acts of terrorism " must be considered responsible and brought to justice.
U.N. Head Antonio Guterres also denounced "the terrorist attack," U.N. spokesman Stephane Dujarric said.
A vehicle stuffed with explosives was heading to carry out an assault detonated in an impact in Cairo in the deadliest assault in the Egyptian capital in more than two years.
The UNSC said "terrorism" threatens international peace and security and reiterated that "any acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable, regardless of their motivation, wherever, whenever and by whomsoever committed."

"The New Zealand Embassy in Cairo condemns the terrorist attack in Manial and mourns the tragic loss of 20 innocent lives," the embassy said in a statement.
“We convey our deepest condolences to families of the victims and we wish a speedy recovery for the injured,” it added.
“The New Zealand Embassy in Cairo stands with Egypt against terrorism,” it concluded.
It is worthy to mention that, an explosives-laden car belonging to a terrorist group blew up late Sunday, outside The National cancer institute in Al-Manial neighbourhood, resulting in the death of 20 people and the injury of 48 others.
