UNRWA Commissioner-General: A year of war has returned Gaza to the early 1950s
Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of UNRWA, said that the Israeli occupation war on Gaza has destroyed the Palestinian economy.
The agency confirmed that this information is according to the latest United Nations study, noting that the war has left almost all of Gaza's residents in poverty, as life indicators such as health and education have declined by 70 years.
UNRWA said in a statement that the longer this situation continues, the longer it will take to return hundreds of thousands of girls and boys to an educational environment, and the greater the huge challenges of repairing these enormous losses.
