Today, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat hosted a group of 50 young men and women from Syrian, Yemeni, Iraqi, and Sudanese refugees.

The refugees were hosted as part of a visit program organized by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to make tours to a number of Egyptian museums in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, on the occasion of World Refugee Day, which is celebrated on June 20 every year.

They were received by a number of museum curators who took them on a tour inside the central exhibition halls, royal mummies, and Egyptian textiles.

At the end of their visit, they were keen to take a group of memorial photos of the visit.
