Under the slogan "One World, Multiple Cultures", the eighth edition of the international cultural festival for tasting "Gouter 2021” was held under the auspices of the Al-Ahram Foundation, in the Baron Empain Palace Garden in Heliopolis.
The festival aims to experience the unique and different tastes of cultures from countries around the world by presenting the most famous dishes.
Russia enjoyed special participation in the festival this year as it had coincided with the year of humanitarian cooperation between Egypt and Russia.
Russian children, during the festival, presented a number of theater performances along with Egyptian singer Diana Wahba and the Indigo Band for Russian folk arts.

In addition, the Russian Cultural Center in Cairo was also honored for its efforts in consolidating cultural cooperation between the two countries.
On his part, Alexei Tiffanyan, Director of the Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt, expressed his happiness with the good organization of the festival that witnessed a wide persity of cultural activities and participation of many embassies.
He also stressed that choosing the Baron Palace gave the celebration a distinctive historical character.
Sherif Gad, director of cultural activity at the Russian Center, said that the participation of Russian children, who came especially from Hurghada to present their ballet performances, left a unique impression on the audience. He added that they were the best representatives for the rich Russian culture in all its fields.
Gad also hailed the professional organization of the festival.
Meanwhile, the Russian children voiced their happiness to participate in the celebration, appreciating the warm reception by the attendees, saying that the festival was like a dream for them and they wished to participate in it every year.
