The Minister of Culture will attend tomorrow a press conference to announce the details of the 55th Edition of “Cairo International Book Fair”.

Under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Dr. Nevien El-Kilani, Minister of Culture, will attend tomorrow, Sunday,14 January 2024, a press conference to announce the details of the 55th edition of “Cairo International Book Fair”. The press conference will be held at noon, in the small theater of the Cairo Opera House. It is worthy of note that Norway will be the guest of honor of this coming edition.

The conference will be attended by: Dr. Ahmed Bahi El-Din, Head of the Egyptian General Book Authority, Mr. Hilde Klemtsdal, Norwegian Ambassador to Cairo, Mohamed Rashad, Head of the Arab Publishers Union, and Saeed Abdo, Head of the Egyptian Publishers Union.

The conference will unveil the most prominent details of the 55th edition: the number of participating countries, and the most important artistic and cultural activities and events that the Fair will present this year.

The 55th edition of this book fair will be held at the Egypt Center for International Exhibitions and Conferences, in the Fifth Settlement, from 25 January to 6 February 2024. The fair will be under the slogan “We are creating knowledge, safeguarding the word,” and the Supreme Advisory Committee of " Cairo International Book Fair” chose the Egyptologist, Dr. Salim Hassan, to be the character of the fair, and Yaqoub Al-Sharouni, the pioneer of children’s literature, to be the character of the children’s fair.
