Opera House to Organize "Arab Attitudes Festival"

Under the auspices of Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, the Egyptian Opera House, headed by Dr. Magdy Saber, represented by the Cairo Symphony Orchestra, under the supervision of its artistic director, Maestro Ahmed Al-Saeedy, is going to organize the "Arab Attitudes Festival", which starts at eight in the evening, Saturday, February 26, on the Grand Theater and includes 3 concerts and works by 11 authors from Egypt, Jordan and Iraq.

Abdel-Dayem said that the "Arab Attitudes Festival" is one of the tracks that shed light on the musical works of Arab composers made in the classical form, adding that the festival aims to enrich the musical life in the Arab world.

She noted that the role of the upcoming festival expresses the innovative creations that bear the Arab character in the Western image.

The minister stressed that the first  night will be dedicated to the memorial of the late Egyptian musician Gamal Salama, which includes selections from his outstanding compositions in the classic form.

On his part, the Opera President said that the activities of the 3 nights will start at 8:00 pm on Saturday, February 26 at the Grand Theater with a concert led by Maestro Mohamed Saad Pasha and the participation of soprano Julie Gebhardt , two symphony performances from the Jordan Symphony by Haitham Sukkarieh (Jordan), Al-Amal for the orchestra by Amr Oqba, composing for the orchestra for the concert leader, Muhammad Saad Pasha.

Dr. Magdy Saber added that the second concert will be held at 8 pm , Tuesday, March 1st , on the small theatre , led by Maestro Ahmed Al-Saeedi, and bears the title of the works of the chamber orchestra, and includes compositions of " Smooth Touch" by Ahmed Madkour, orchestra and strings by Khaled Shukri, poems from a sad poem - the poem of the French horn, piano and small orchestra by Ramzi Sabry, the Sahara. And the desire for the leader of the ceremony, Ahmed Al-Saeedi

He added that the second concert will be held at 8 pm on Tuesday March 1st , on the Small Theatre at the Egyptian Opera House, led by Maestro Ahmed Al-Saeedi, and bears the title of the works of the chamber orchestra.

That concert includes compositions of " Soft Touch" composed by Ahmed Madkour, orchestra and strings by Khaled Shukri, poems from a sad poem - the poem of the French horn, piano and small orchestra by Ramzi Sabry, the Sahara. And the desire for the leader of the ceremony, Ahmed Al-Saeedi.

The third concert comes under the title “Al-Watan-Motherland” and it includes the compositions of the musician Gamal Salama. It will be held at eight in the evening, Saturday, March 5, on the Grand Theatre.

It will be led by Maestro Mohamed Saad Pasha, and the international pianist Moushira Issa will perform in it, and it will include "Memories" for string orchestra, ensemble for orchestra, rhapsody for piano, orchestra and symphony.
