British newspaper The Telegraph reported that the new UK Defence Secretary discussed the situation in the Strait of Hormuz with US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, alongside defense investment issues and London's commitments to NATO.
The newspaper quoted a source stating that the British minister informed his American counterpart of his country's desire to participate in the coalition dedicated to securing the Strait of Hormuz.
It added that both ministers also discussed defense investment and the UK fulfilling its obligations to NATO.
