Breaking: UAE Confirms 14 New Coronavirus Cases, Totaling 59

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has shorty confirmed the detection of new 14 coronavirus-diagnosed cases, rising the total infected cases to 59, according to the state's health ministry.

In a statement, the ministry said the cases include four Emiratis, three Italians, two Bangladeshis, two Nepalese, a Russian, an Indian and a Syrian national.

It added that the the recent cases were discovered with the framework of the UAE's active follow-up to examine those who came in contact with previously confirmed infected inpiduals who were quarantined.

It is noteworthy that the UAE has announced the first case of the coronavirus in January in members of a family, coming from the Chinese city of Wuhan, according to the state official news agency “WAM”.

In an official statement issued Wednesday, the ministry announced the health condition of those infected is stable, and they are currently under medical observation.

The ministry confirmed that, in coordination with health authorities in the country, it has taken the necessary precautions, in accordance with scientific recommendations, terms, and conditions approved by the World Health Organization.

The ministry stressed that epidemiological investigation centers in the country are working around the clock to early report any cases of the virus.

It also noted that the health system in the country is working very efficiently and is closely following the situation in a way that guarantees the health and safety of everyone.

The Coronavirus continues to spread across the world, and there is currently no treatment for this dreaded virus.

The state-owned flag carrier EgyptAir on Monday announced the suspension of its flights to Saudi Arabia due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19), which is continuing to spread in the Middle East.

The Egyptian company said that all flights to Dammam, Qassim, Abha, Jeddah, Riyadh, and Al Madinah Al Munawarah will be suspended until further notice.
