UAE Registers 1st Coronavirus Case

Emirati Ministry of Health has announced the first case of the Coronavirus in UAE, in members of a family, coming from the Chinese city of Wuhan, according to the state official news agency "WAM".

In an official statement issued Wednesday, the ministry announced the health condition of those infected is stable, and they are currently under medical observation.

The ministry confirmed that, in coordination with health authorities in the country, it has taken the necessary precautions, in accordance with scientific recommendations, terms, and conditions approved by the World Health Organization.

The ministry stressed that epidemiological investigation centers in the country are working around the clock to early report any cases of the virus.

It also noted that the health system in the country is working very efficiently and is closely following the situation in a way that guarantees the health and safety of everyone.

It is worth mentioning, China announced on Wednesday that the death toll from the Coronavirus has risen to 132 till now.

China’s Health Commission said in a statement that the total number of infection cases in the country had risen to 5,974.

Meanwhile, the United States advised its citizens to avoid traveling to China due to the outbreak of the new Coronavirus, which first appeared in Wuhan in central China.

On the other hand, the new corona virus in China has claimed the life of its first victims in the capital, Beijing, officials said Tuesday.

The coronavirus cases were reported in a number of countries (such as Japan, France, the United States, and others), while the Arab countries confirmed that they were free of the virus.
