Two channels are set to broadcast Egypt’s opening match against Zimbabwe at the Cairo stadium on Friday at 22:00 pm CLT.
The two games will be broadcast on Bein Sports and Time sports.
Time Sports will broadcast AFCON's matches on terrestrial TV channels.
Ahmed Shobair will lead the match analysis studio on Time sports at 18:00 pm CLT, in the presence of Hazem Emam, Zamalek SC former player, Samuel Eto’o, legendary Cameroon and Barcelona forward, and Former Al Ahly and Egypt forward Emad Meteb.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will attend the match alongside FIFA President Gianni Infantino and a number of high-ranking state officials.
It is worth mentioning that Egypt played against Zimbabwe on 24 occasions, but the Pharaohs had the upper hand throughout history. The seven-time title holders managed to secure the victory on fourteen occasions, while the Warriors won only two games. The four other confrontations ended in draws.
