"Twisted Metal" New Footage Released

Peacock released Thursday new footage from the highly-anticipated series "Twisted Metal"

It stars Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church, Neve Campbell, Richard Cabral, Mike Mitchell, Tahj Vaughans, and Lou Beatty Jr.

“Twisted Metal” is a half-hour action-comedy based on an original take by “Deadpool” creators Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

The game centers around a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

The new footage for shows Anthony Mackie's John Doe at the mercy of Sweet Tooth, the insane mascot of PlayStation's destruction derby game, until the motor-mouthed outsider finds a way out of the nightmarish clown's grasp.

Sony Pictures TV and PlayStation Production are developing the project, which Michael Jonathan Smith penned and executive produced.

Reese and Wernick will also serve as executive producers along with Will Arnett and Marc Forman, who will produce through their production company Electric Avenue.

Peter Principato of Artists First is also attached to executive produce. Furthermore, Mackie’s longtime manager Jason Spire from Inspire Entertainment, Qizilbash and Carter Swan of PlayStation Productions, and Hermen Hulst, head of PlayStation Studios, will also serve as executive producers.

"Twisted Metal" premieres exclusively on Peacock on July 27. Check out the new clip below.
