Dylan O’Brien's dark comedy movie "Twinless", which premiered at Sundance Film Festival, arrives on Hulu on January 16.
The film, which also starring James Sweeney, follows two young men who meet in a twin bereavement support group. An unlikely bromance develops between them.
At Sundance, “Twinless” won the audience award and O’Brien was recognized for best performance for his leading dual role as twin brothers.
The pic follows Sweeney’s directorial debut, "Straight Up", which notched the filmmaker a Best First Screenplay nom at the 2021 Independent Spirit Awards.
Three Point Capital is financing the movie with O’Brien, Ali Jazayeri, David Gendron, and Liz Destro also serving as EPs.
"Twinless" is produced by Academy Award-nominated producer David Permut and Permut Presentations whose most recent Netflix movie, Rustin, garnered Colman Domingo a Best Actor Oscar nomination.
Miky Lee (Parasite) Vice Chairwoman of CJ and who most recently executive produced the Oscar-nominated film Past Lives, serves as EP.
Permut Presentations Director Of Development Alex Astrachan co-produces.
O’Brien is well-known to audiences for his work in the hit MTV series Teen Wolf and The Maze Runner franchise.
The $1.7 billion grossing star’s most recent pic is the independent feature Ponyboi, in which he plays a villainous pimp and small-time drug dealer, which recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
He will next be seen in the upcoming movies "Send Help" and "Anniversary".
