Synergy production company released on its official YouTube channel the first trailer for actor, Amir Karara’s TV series “El Ekhtebar- Ahmed el-Mansy” (The Choice- Ahmed el-Mansy), which he will participate in Ramadan 2020 drama marathon with.
The TV series features several guest appearances including Egyptian actor Asser Yassin, and Jordanian actor and director, Eyad Nassar.
The TV series is written by Baher Dowidar, directed by Peter Mimi, and produced by Synergy.
Karara will play the role of martyr Colonel Ahmed el-Mansy in the series, and actor Ahmed Elawady will play terrorist Hisham Ashmawy.
El-Mansy was the commander of Sa’ka Forces (Thunderbolt Forces) battalion 103, who was martyred with several other members of his battalion on July 7th, 2017.
They were killed during clashes between Egyptian army forces and militants in a terror attack launched on an Egyptian armed forces checkpoint in Rafah, North Sinai.
The series will be the first time to present the life of the commander in artistic work.

Many drama makers are currently seeking to complete the drama productions that are set to participate in the Ramadan 2020 drama marathon, amid the necessary measures taken to stem the spread of Coronavirus.
Approximately 18 TV series has been confirmed to broadcast on Egyptian and Arab satellite channels, in which 11 series have already finished filming all its scenes.
This Ramadan season witnesses the participation of many celebrities including, Adel Emam, Nabila Ebeid, Nadia El Gendy, Haifa Wehbe, Dorra Zarrouk, Lekaa Elkhamissi, Ahmed Fahmy, Akram Hosny, Asser Yassin, Nelly Karim, Amir Karara, Yasser Galal, and others.
It is worth mentioning that Karara, born on October 10, 1977, is an Egyptian actor and broadcaster. He has a degree in tourism from Cairo University.
He rose to fame through hosting television contest shows like “Star Maker” and “The Deal”.
Moreover, he played in the national volleyball team, in a lot of national and international games.
Karara is known for his roles in TV series “Shabab Al Hawa” (Guys online), and “Lahazat Hariga” (The Egyptian version of ER), “Taraf Talit” (Third Party) “Taht El Ard” (Underground), and “kalabsh” trilogy.
