Amir Karara to Play Ahmed el-Mansy in TV series “The Choice"

Actor, Amir Karara is set to play the biography of martyr Colonel Ahmed el-Mansy in TV series “El Ekhtebar- Ahmed el-Mansy” (The Choice- Ahmed el-Mansy), which will be premiered in Ramadan 2020.

Karara confirmed the news with a post on his "Twitter" account on Thursday.

The TV series will be written by Baher Dowidar, and directed by Peter Mimi.

It is scheduled for the stars to begin filming the TV series next month, which will be produced by Synergy production company.

El-Mansy was the commander of Sa'ka Forces (Thunderbolt Forces)battalion 103, who was martyred with several other members of his battalion on July 7th, 2017.

They got killed during clashes between Egyptian army forces and militants in a terror attack launched on an Egyptian armed forces checkpoint in Rafah, North Sinai.

The series will be the first time to present the life of the commander in artistic work.

The actor’s latest artistic work TV series “kalabsh 3”, and Eid Al-Fitr movie "Casablanca”.

Casablanca co-starring Amir Karara, Ghada Adel, Amr Abdel Gelil, Dalal Abdel Aziz, Mahmoud El Bezzawy, Ahmad Dash, International Turkish actor Halit Ergenç, and others.

Actor, Eyad Nassar made a special appearance.

The movie is an action-thriller genre, which was filmed in Egypt, France, and several other countries.

It is written by Hesham Helal and directed by Peter Mimi.

Karara, born on October 10, 1977, is an Egyptian actor and broadcaster. He has a degree in tourism from Cairo University.

He rose to fame through hosting television contest shows like “Star Maker” and “The Deal”.

Moreover, he played in the national volleyball team, in a lot of national and international games.

Karara is known for his roles in TV series "Shabab Al Hawa" (Guys online), and "Lahazat Hariga" (The Egyptian version of ER), "Taraf Talit" (Third Party) "Taht El Ard" (Underground), and “kalabsh” trilogy.
