Production has begun on Egyptian actress Riham Hagag's TV series "Tawaba".
The cast also includes Anoushka, Asma Abulyazeid, Hany Adel, Mohamed Alaa, and more.
The drama consists of 15 episodes and reunites Hagag with the director of the 2025 TV series “Athena" Yahya Ismail.
Ismail directs the series from a script by Ayman Salama. Apple Media Production is the banner behind the project.
"Tawaba" is set to screen in the Ramadan 2026 drama marathon.

Hagag, was born on September 22, 1986, in Milano, Italy to Egyptian parents, and she spent most of her life abroad, where she studied mass communication and worked in the marketing field for some time.
Upon her return to Egypt, she started an acting career with her role in the film “Safari” in 2010, and in the same year, she took a role in the TV series “Azmet Sokkar”, which achieved great success.
In 2012, Hagag portrayed the famous Egyptian belly dancer Samia Gamal in the biopic “Karioka.” Her role in the film “Ba’d El Toufan” (After the Flood) was met with critical acclaim, and she won a prize for her role at the Marrakesh film festival.
She co-starred in several films and TV productions with prominent stars in the film industry and became known for her roles in 2014 's “Segn El-Nisaa”, and 2012's “Rakam Maghol”.
