TV Series "Sayd Al Aqarab" Begins Production

Production has begun on Egyptian actress Ghada Abdel Razek's new TV series "Sayd Al Aqarab".

The cast also includes Ahmad Maher, Ryad El Khouly, Simone, Maged El Masry, and more.

It marks the fourth collaboration between El Masry and Abdel Razek after the 2016 TV series "El Khanka", the 2012 TV series “Ma Sabek El Asrar”, and the 2010 film "Kalemni Shokran".

The 15-episode series hails from scriptwriter Baher Dowaidar and director Ahmed Hassan.

"Sayd Al Aqarab" is set to screen during the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon.

Abdel Razek, born on July 6, 1965, studied computer science at Cairo University. She started her career on television with several appearances in television commercials.

She started getting film roles in the early 1990s and scored her first major role in the 1999 film “Lamadah” (Chatterbox).

Abdel Razek is known for her roles in TV productions such as "Ya Regal Al-Alem Etahido" (2000), "Aailat Al Hajj Metwaly” (2001), "Batta W Akhwatha" (2004), "Al-Batniya" (2009), “Ma’a Sabq Al Israr” (2012), "El Kabous" (2015), “Hekayet Kayat” (2013), and "Al-Sayyeda Al-Oula" (2014).

She is also known for her performances in theatrical productions such as “Al Ikhwa Al Andal” (The Wicked Brothers), and “Houda Karama”.

In 2003, Abdel Razek took part in the Ramadan trivia show “Farah Farah” (Joy Joy).
