Production has begun on Tunisian actress Dorra's TV series "Ethbat Nasab" (Proof of Lineage), which is set to screen during the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon.
The cast also includes Mohsen Mohieddin, Fattouh Ahmed, Nihal Anber, Mahmoud Abdel Moghni, Nabil Eissa, Hend Ahmed Abdel Halim, Eslam Gamal, Walaa El Sherif, Sedky Sakhr, Lobna Wanas, and more.
Ahmed Abdo directs the series from a script by Gamal Ramadan and Mohamed Nayer.
While there are no details announced about the upcoming series, it features Dorra playing a veiled woman called Nawal, a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Dorra participated last Ramadan with the TV series "Al Aghar".
It also starred Amr Saad, Sayed Ragab, Anoushka, Amr Abdul Gelil, Ahmed Magdy, Ahmed Safwat, Nour El-Nabawy, Arefa Abdel-Rasoul, Sarah Salama, Nahed El-Sebaei, Khaled Zaki, Mohamed Qabil, and more.
The series is scripted by Melouk Workshop, directed by Yasser Samy, and produced by Anwar Al-Sabah.
Dorra is currently busy filming the TV series "El Zanb" (Guilt).
The series sees Zarrouk reuniting with her longtime collaborator, Hani Salama for the fourth time. They previously collaborated on the 2007 film "Alawela Fil Gharam" (2007), the 2016 TV series "Naseeby We Esmetak", and the 2021 TV series "Bayn El Samaa Wa El Ard".
Born on January 13, 1980, Dorra, full name Dorra Ibrahim Zarrouk, made her way into the acting industry by joining a theater group, where her first appearance was in the play “Magnoun” (Crazy), directed by Tawfiq Al Gibally, which was followed by several roles at the Tunisian cinema.
She also worked on many international projects such as English director Telman Reem's “Collosseum” and French director Patrick Foulsan's “Louisa’s Journey”.
The 43-year-old actress has been participating in Egyptian cinematic works since 2007. Her film credits also include "Judran", "El Kahen", “Tisbah ala Khair”, “Mawlana”, and “Kedbet Kol Youm”.
Dorra is also known for her roles in TV series like "El Aghar","Al Motahma","Ela Ana S1", “El Share’A Elly Warana”, “Naseeby We Esmetak”, “Baad Al Bedaya”, “Zarf Esswed”, “Segn El Nessa”, “Zay El Ward”, “Al Rayan”, and “Al Aar”.
