The teaser for Egyptian actor Maged El Masry's TV series "Awlad Alraey" has been unveiled.
The cast also includes Khaled El Sawy, Ahmed Eid, Ehab Fahmy, Enas Kamel, Fadia Abdel Ghany, Nermine El Feky, and more.
Mahmoud Kamel directs the series from a script by Remon Magar, whose production banner, Egyptian Arts Group, is behind the show.
"Awlad Alraey" marks El Masry's first lead role in a drama and is set to screen on the "DMC" satellite TV channel and "Watch It" during the Ramadan 2026 drama marathon.
El Masry participated last Ramadan with the TV series “Ash Ash”.
The cast also includes Mai Omar, Hala Sedki, Edward, Entesar, Ehab Fahmi, Tarek El-Nahry, Alaa Morsy, Shaimaa Saif, Dina, Essam El Sakka, Mohamed El Sharnouby, and more. The drama consists of 30 episodes and hails from director/screenwriter Mohamed Sami.
El Masry, born on October 15, 1963, began performing in nightclubs with his former wife, singer Mona Ish Ish. They even had their celebrity couple name, Maged and Mona.
His talent was discovered during school, where he studied the art of popular, classical dance, and ballet. He made an album that was released in the market but unfortunately, it wasn’t very successful.
He was discovered and introduced to the cinema by the late director Hussam El Din Mostafa in the 1994 film “El Gasousa Hekmat Fahmy”.
El Masry is known for his roles in the 2018 film “El Badla”, in the 1997 film “Ferkah banat w Bas”, and in the 1996 film "El-Mara'a W Al-Satoor".
He is best known for his roles in TV productions such as “Malaf Serry” (2022), “Touba” (2022), “Al Wageh Al Akhar” (2020), “Lama Kona Soghayareen” (2020), “Bahr” (2019), “Zelzal” (2019), “Al Tofan” (2017), “Qesset Hob” (2015), “Ayon Al Qalb” (2015), “Kalam Aala Wara” (2014), “Leabet el Mout” (2013), “Ma Sabek El Asrar” (2012), “Adam” (2011), and “Li dawa'y Amneya” (2002).
