Egyptian singer-actress Donia Samir Ghanem‘s latest TV series “Alam Mawazy” (A Parallel World) will no longer screen during the Ramadan 2022 drama marathon.

The series was postponed last Ramadan after a large number of the cast contracted the Coronavirus, including the actress and her late mother Dalal Abdel Aziz.

“Alam Mawazy” also stars Amr Wahba, Shaima Saif, Outaka, Islam Ibrahim, and others.

The series consists of 15 episodes and was written by Wahba and Hisham Gamal, who also directed the series and co-produced it along with United Media Services.

“Alam Mawazy” also witnesses the actress' comeback to the drama marathon after two years of absence.

She participated in Ramadan 2019 drama marathon with the TV series “Badal Al Hadoota 3”.

She took part in the opening ceremony of the 14th Egyptian National Theater Festival, where she received an honor on the behalf of her parents by the festival.

Ghanem passed away at the age of 84 years old in May from complications of kidney failure while Abdel Aziz passed away at the age of 61 after a battle with Coronavirus side effects for over three months.
