Lebanese actress Diamand Bou Abboud has recently joined the cast of Egyptian stars Khaled El Nabawy and Yosra El Lozy's upcoming TV series "Al Sarab".
The cast also includes Naglaa Badr, Hany Adel, Ahmad Magdy, Gihan El Shamashergy, Ahmed Wafik, and more.
Ahmed Khaled directs the series from a script by Hisham Hilal. The series consists of 10 episodes and is slated to screen during the off-season on the "TOD" VOD platform.
It reunites El Nabawy and El Lozy for the second time after working together in the 2013 radio series "Ma Khales Shokry".
"Al Sarab" also witnesses Bou Abboud's comeback to the Egyptian small screen after 2 years of absence since her last appearance in the 2022 star-studded TV series “Bitloo El Roh”.
Abou Abooud studied drama at the Lebanese University's Institute of Fine Arts, Department of Theater, Cinema & Television.
She made her acting debut in the 2001 historical TV series "The Search for Saladin" and landed her first film role in 2008's "Smoke Without Fire".
Working in Europe and the Arab world, namely Lebanon and Egypt, Bou Abboud starred in many plays, most of which were adapted from plays by Russian playwright Anton Chekhov.
The actress is also known for her roles in the films "Void" (2013), "The Insult" (2017), and "Stable Unstable" (2013).
Abou Abooud won the best actress prize at the Lebanese Movie Awards as well as a Murex d’Or for best actress for her role in "Void".
