Egyptian singer-actress Donia Samir Ghanem's upcoming TV series "Aicha Aldor" will consist of 15 episodes.
The cast also stars Mohamed Kelany, Mohamed Tharwat, Fadwa Abed, and more. Ahmed El Gendy directs the drama from a script he co-wrote with Karim Youssef.
"Aicha Aldor" is produced by Ahmed El Sobky and is set to screen during the Ramadan 2025 drama marathon.
Ghanem made her last participation in the drama marathon with the 2023 TV series "Gat Salema".
The series consists of 15 episodes and is scripted by Karim Youssef and Sameh Gamal, directed by Islam Khairy, and produced by Ahmed El Sobky.
The cast also stars Khaled El Sawy, Bayoumi Fouad, Sayed Ragab, Mohamed Salam, Salwa Khattab, Mayan El Sayed, and others.
The plot follows Salema a kind bibliophile who lives with her brother and cold-hearted stepmother and her stepsisters. When she is forced to empty and sell her late father’s library, Salema finds a mysterious old book that transports her and her little brother into another world.
The actress was born on January 1, 1985, to an artistic family; she is the daughter of renowned actor Samir Ghanem and actress Dalal Abdulaziz; her sister, Amal— known as Amy— is also an actress.
Ghanem’s talents appeared when she was a child, participating in school plays and shows.
The actress made her acting debut in 2001’s TV series “Leladala Wogouh Katheera” (Justice has many faces).
In 2005, Ghanem made her first film appearance in renowned comedy actor Mohamed Henedi’s film “Ya Ana Ya Khalty”. She released her first song “Farh el Sen” in 2010.
In 2015, she was a judge on season 4 of “The X Factor” Arabia version along with Lebanese singers Elissa and Ragheb Alama.
Ghanem is best known for her work on the television shows “Leladala Wogouh Katheera”, “El Kabeer Awy”, “Lahfa”, “Nelly and Sherihan”, “In Lala Land”, and “badal el hadouta 3”.
She is also known for her roles in films “El-Farah”, “You Fly”, “Ezbet Adam”, “La Taragoa Wala Esteslam”, “X-Large”, and “365 Days of Happiness”.
