Production has resumed on Egyptian actor Mohamed Farag's TV series "Ab Walakin" ("A Father But").
Work was suspended on the project last week due to falling behind schedule.
On the casting side, actress Hager Ahmed has joined the drama.
Yasmine Ahmed Kamel directs from a script she co-wrote with Marian Hani.
The series consists of 15 episodes and is produced by Synergy.
"Ab Walakin" is set to screen during the Ramadan 2026 drama marathon.
The project marks Ahmed's comeback to the drama marathon and the small screen after two years of absence.
She made her latest onscreen appearance in the 2024 TV series "Al Moalem".

Ahmed, born on February 28, 1994, graduated from the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts.
She performed many plays on stage the most famous is the "play Your Cup, Homeland", then participated in the TV series "Get Well Soon" (2013), and "Mothers-In-Law Fight" (2014).
Other TV credits include "Big Brother", "Hekayat Banat 4 & 5", "Darbat Muealam", and "Hogan".
Ahmed is known for her roles in the films "Blomondo" and "Zombie".
