Today marks the 98th anniversary of discovering the outstanding Tutankhamen’s tomb.

The tomb discoverer is the English archaeologist Howard Carter, however, the real discoverer of it is a young Egyptian boy called Hussein Abdel Rassoul, according to Dr. Zahi Hawass.

The 12-year-old boy used to bring water to the working archaeological missions while excavations.

Ironically, Abdel Rassoul depended on a donkey to reach the well where Abdel Rasoul’s donkey accidentally found the gate of the tomb. Due to this cheerful accident, Carter took a photo of Abdel Rassoul while wearing one of Tutankhamun’s necklaces.

The discovery of Tutankamun’s tomb sparked international interest due to the importance of the found treasures there and the false believed concept of Pharaoh’s Curse because of Lord Carnarvon’s sudden death.

Hawass explained that Carter worked for 10 years inside the tomb and unearthed almost 5398 artifacts while Carnarvon’s death was due to a deadly mosquito bite.

The secrets of Tutankhamun’s life are still trending, especially the ones related to his death at a very young age. The latest examinations of the king’s body showed the existence of many broken bones.

The unexpected death of the young king, his widow’s marriage to his vizier, Ay, and the crowning of Ay directly after Tutankhamun's death create a sense of suspicion regarding Tutankhamun’s death. His death could mark the earliest political assassination in the world.
