Rumors have been swirling once again about the health of Egyptian veteran actress Laila Taher has deteriorated.
Azza Lebeeb, an actress who lives in the same apartment complex as the acclaimed actress, debunked Tuesday the claims and affirmed that the veteran actress was fine and in "Great health."
Lebeeb added, during a phone call to the “Salat El Tahrir” program, presented by Azza Mustafa on the “Sada El Balad” satellite channel, that she attends charitable or civil societies meetings as well as goes out with her friends to have dinner or to the club. She has a great social life.
"Rumors circulating about her greatly upset her,” She noted. "She had a major joint replacement operation two years ago, but now she walks normally and does exercise."
Born on March 13, 1942, Taher is an Egyptian film, stage, television actress and presenter, who is mostly known for her successful collaborations with Salah Zulfikar in film, television and theater.
She participated in over hundred artworks throughout her career mostly in television. In films, Laila Taher is known for her notable roles in "Saladin the Victorious" (1963), "Soft Hands" (1963), "A Husband on Vacation" (1964), "The Peacock" (1982) and "Monsieur le Directeur" (1988).
