US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the United States enjoys a very good relationship with Iran, noting that recent meetings in Qatar have gone well.
"Iran's denuclearization is going well. They have had very productive meetings, and we will see what happens," Trump told reporters, adding, "Our relationship is very good."
He further noted that Iran has come a long way, concluding, "I think things are just fine."
At the same time, Trump is considering a return to a comprehensive war with Iran, according to US officials speaking to the Wall Street Journal.
He has already held several conversations in recent days with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Keen, regarding further strikes.
However, for the time being, he has decided to stick with diplomacy.
