Under the title “Top 50 Travel Destinations for 2025,” the American travel magazine Travel + Leisure, renowned for its focus on tourism and travel, published a detailed report listing these destinations, highlighting them as must-visit locations for the upcoming year.
Among these standout destinations is the Egyptian city of Luxor, celebrated for its exceptional cultural tourism appeal.
The report noted that while 2024 was marked as the "Year of Nile Cruises," 2025 is set to celebrate the wonders of Luxor—one of Egypt's most captivating and enjoyable cities.
Luxor is renowned for its extraordinary collection of ancient temples, recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1979, as well as its luxurious hotels, vibrant atmosphere, and traditional Nile feluccas.
In a related development, the British newspaper "The Telegraph" also named the Grand Egyptian Museum as one of the top tourist attractions worldwide for 2024.
This recognition was part of a list compiled based on readers’ opinions of the best and worst 50 travel destinations globally. The newspaper emphasized the museum's ongoing trial operations.
"The Telegraph" added that the Grand Egyptian Museum is the largest archaeological museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization—the ancient Egyptian civilization.
Upon its full opening, visitors will have the opportunity to view a vast collection of artifacts spanning various historical eras, including the complete treasures of the tomb of the Golden King Tutankhamun.
