"Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" Gets Digital Release Date

Paramount Pictures' movie "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" is hitting digital platforms after its June theatrical release.

The movie is available for purchase on digital platforms on July 11.

The seventh installment in the franchise takes place in Brooklyn, New York, and Peru, among other locations.

It is set in 1994 and will feature new Autobots and Decepticons. Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback lead the new movie as human characters.

Peter Cullen will voice Optimus Prime, the leader of the Maximals, and will appear in his G1 form, his look from the classic 1980s toy line.

Scourge will roll out as the main villain of the movie. He is quite formidable, fusing parts of slain Transformers onto his own body as his trophy.

Steven Caple Jr. directed the project from a screenplay by Joby Harold and James Vanderbilt.

"Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" also stars Luna Lauren Vélez, Tobe Nwigwe, Pete Davidson, and Michelle Yeoh.

The latest chapter is the first movie from the franchise to arrive since 2018's "Bumblebee".

Michael Bay, who directed the first five movies in the franchise, will produce Rise of the Beasts under his Bay Films banner alongside Tom DeSanto and Don Murphy, Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian, and Duncan Henderson.

Steven Spielberg will also executive produce with Hasbro's Brian Goldner and Skydance's David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger, as well as Brian Oliver, Bradley J. Fischer, and Valerii An of New Republic Pictures.

The runtime for the pic is a brisk 1 hour and 57-minute adventure, excluding credits.

Right before the conclusion of "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts", Paramount shocked the world with the reveal that G.I. Joe is a part of the new Transformers timeline. 

When Noah Diaz (Anthony Ramos) continues to look for a job after saving the world, he attends what he assumes will be a regular interview for a corporate position. but in an unexpected turn of events, he was actually going to be recruited by the legendary task force. 

Caple Jr. has already signed on to direct a sequel, and if the studio is comfortable with the latest chapter's performance at the box office, the crossover might be coming to the big screen in the next few years
