The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, through the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, has launched a promotional campaign for Egypt in celebration of World Tourism Day, which is observed on September 27 each year. The campaign, titled "Peace from Egypt," aims to promote the values of peace, cultural exchange, and community coexistence.
This initiative aligns with the global campaign launched by the United Nations World Tourism Organization, which focuses on the relationship between tourism and peace. This year's World Tourism Day is centered around the theme "Tourism and Peace."
Amr El-Kady, CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, stated that the campaign seeks to encourage travelers in targeted markets to visit Egypt, highlighting the country's diverse tourism experiences while emphasizing its welcoming and peaceful environment. The campaign aims to showcase Egypt's rich cultural and historical heritage as well as promote values of tolerance, understanding, and coexistence.
Suzanne Mustafa, General Manager of the Tourism Promotion Department at the Authority, explained that the campaign will convey messages promoting Egypt's cultural and civilizational diversity, based on values of peace, understanding, coexistence, and mutual respect among society members and visitors.
The campaign will also feature video clips of tourists from various target markets sharing their positive and welcoming experiences during their visits to Egypt, along with their interactions with service providers at tourist and archaeological sites.
