Tourism Min., Russian Ambassador Discuss Boosting Cooperation

Tourism and Antiquities Minister Khaled Al-Anani received on Saturday Russian Ambassador to Egypt Georgy Borisenko and his accompanying delegation.

They discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism and archaeology between both countries.

The meeting was attended by Dalia Abdel-Fattah, general supervisor of the general department of international relations and agreements at the ministry.

At the outset of the meeting, the Tourism Minister welcomed the ambassador, stressing the depth of ties between the two countries in many fields, including tourism and antiquities.

On his part, the Russian ambassador highlighted ‘the fruitful and effective' cooperation ties between Moscow and Cairo, hailing the Egyptian government's efforts to restore the incoming tourism movement to Egypt to its rates before the Coronavirus pandemic.

The meeting also tackled cooperation mechanisms between the two countries in the field of archaeological excavations, exchanging experiences in the field of restoration, and training workers in the tourism and archaeological sectors.
