Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Mr. Ahmed Eissa, received, Ms. Elena Panova, the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations Organization in Egypt, in order to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the Ministry and the United Nations in the field of tourism and antiquities.
The Minister welcomed Ms. Elena Panova, appreciating the depth of the close relations between the Ministry and the United Nations.
During the meeting, they discussed the activities carried out by the United Nations in Egypt, stressing the United Nations' keenness to enhance cooperation with the Egyptian government in all fields of development, especially tourism and antiquities.
The meeting also focused on the national strategy for the development of tourism in Egypt, which aims to achieve rapid growth in the industry ranging from 25% to 30% annually.
