Tourism Min. Receives Chinese Min. of Culture, Tourism

Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Eissa received, at Cairo International Airport, Mr. Hu Heping, the Chinese Minister of Culture and Tourism and his accompanying delegation, who arrived in an official visit to Egypt, which is the first visit by the Chinese minister outside China since the Coronavirus crisis began and after easing travel restrictions on China.

Mr. Ahmed Eissa welcomed the Chinese Minister and his accompanying delegation to Egypt, hoping that this visit would be fruitful and that would achieve the desired goals in a way that would contribute to strengthening Egyptian-Chinese relations, especially in the field of tourism and antiquities, wishing them a happy and distinguished stay during which they would enjoy the various tourism and archaeological destinations of Egypt 

During the meeting, they discussed the return of Chinese tourism to Egypt and the arrival of the first tourist group to Cairo Airport on January 20, after the People's Republic of China lifted all restrictions imposed on international travel after the Corona pandemic.

 The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities emphasized the importance of the Chinese market for tourism in Egypt as one of the most promising markets, expressing Egypt's desire to attract more Chinese tourists to Egypt.

For his part, the Chinese Minister of Culture and Tourism stressed the depth of bilateral relations between Egypt and the People's Republic of China, expressing his country's keenness to discuss and enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including tourism and antiquities
