Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Dr. Moustafa Al-Waziri announced that museums and archaeological sites in Upper Egypt, which have been opened to the public as a first stage amid Coronavirus outbreak, will receive their visitors daily from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.
In press statements, Waziri added that those museums include, Al-Nuba and Luxor museums, Abu Simbel temple, the Philae Temple Complex in Aswan, the Karnak temple, and the valley of the kings in Luxor.
In light of the resumption of the tourist movement to Egypt by early July, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has chosen a number of archaeological sites and museums to be reopened to the public as a first stage in preparation for the gradual opening of all museums and sites, amid tightened precautionary measures.
