Tourism & Antiquities Minister Meets ABTA Heads

On Wednesday, the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Khaled El Anani held a meeting with the Heads of the Association of British Travel Agent (ABTA)’s Angie Hills, Susan Beer, and Market Tenzer.

 

During the meeting, El Anani reviewed the latest development in the sector of tourism, and discussed a number of the latest decisions adopted by the government such as converting the tourism sector to green one, applying strictly the principles of safety and health, and improving the quality of the employees in the tourism sector.

 

In the same context, the Minister asserted the ministry’s keenness in developing the quality of the provided services to the tourists to promote Egypt’s in terms of tourism, and improving its position among the top tourist destinations internationally.

 

Therefore, he praised the decision taken by the British government of lifting the partial ban for travelling to South Sinai, and Fayoum, last week. In addition, El Anani reviewed the procedures taken by the Egyptian government for supporting the tourists who can’t return to their countries, and how Egypt back them.

 

It is worthy to mention that the Minister will have another round of meeting with travel agents, and officials as part of his latest conducted overseas tour for promoting tourism in Egypt.
