The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Khaled El Anani inspected the ongoing developments of the Egyptian Textile Hall at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) on Sunday, amid its soon opening.

During his tour, El Anani recommended setting several changes for the museum’s display scenario and the positions of some exhibiting units.

Some of the museum’s most valuable exhibits are the artifacts of the Textile Museum that were transported to NMEC, in addition to pieces of cloth and flax that date back to various time periods.

Also, a model for textile workshops that dates back to the Middle Kingdom of Ancient Egypt period, a statue for the Head of workers, and various statues that represent clothes in Ancient Egypt will be displayed at the museum.

It is worthy to mention those unique textile collections that represent the heritage of Siwa Oasis, and Sinai has been added to the museum, alongside some exhibits that reflect the traditional clothes of Delta, Nubia, Upper Egypt, and the countryside.
