Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Dr. Khaled El Enani held a meeting on Thursday with Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal alongside several representatives from concerned authorities to inspect the final preparations of the Royal Parade.
The meeting handled various details assuring the importance of such a historical event. Therefore, performances, background music, decorations, and costumes were discussed.
Also, the map of the parade has been reviewed for preserving the safety of the mummies.
The event will include the official opening of the Main Hall and the Mummies Hall of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC).
El Enani asserted that the process of placing the royal mummies is based on the international standers of antiquities transportation. In addition, the vehicles are provided with the required installations to preserve the mummies.
22 mummies will be moved from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir to NMEC through a royal parade. The bodies of King Ramesses II, King Thutmose III, King Seti I, Queen Ahmose-Nefertari, and Queen Hatshepsut are among the mummies of the royal parade.
