2021 was a sensitive year for the world as it saw people's adaptation to living with the pandemic, and the rise of vaccines, therefore, people became more attached to social media, preferred to respond to every life event with memes or funny comics. Matt Hancock on the Top

Former UK Secretary of Health Matt Hancock headed the list of the top searched memes. He surrendered his position in the middle of 2021 after leaked footage showed him kissing his aide, breaking the COVID-19 restriction of social distancing.

Hancock's photos became a major subject for memes, especially after his departure. Despite his resignation, he remained social media users' favorite meme this year.
