British actor, Tom Holland is starring in his third outing as the web-slinging superhero in the “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, which is set to debut on December 17.
It appears that the movie will not be Holland’s last outing as the friendly neighborhood web-slinger.
In a statement on Monday, longtime “Spider-Man” producer Amy Pascal, revealed that Holland is expected to keep playing the role for more movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel — [this is not] the last Spider-Man movie," she affirmed.
"We are getting ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel, it just isn’t part of… we’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going to go onto the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies.” Pascal added.
No deals have been formalized, insiders say. However, Sony is a big fan of Holland in the title role and enjoys a good working relationship with Marvel.
Pascal’s comments arrive a few weeks after Holland made it clear he was already looking at an exit strategy for playing Peter Parker.
"If I'm playing Spider-Man after I'm 30, I've done something wrong," he commented.
