Today marks the birth anniversary of Ryad El-Koly, best known for playing Haroun in ‘Selsal El-Dam’.
El-kholy is regarded as one of the renowned names in the history of Egyptian drama.
El-kholy, who has been in the film industry for over 30 years now, was born in the Menoufia Governorate, in 1953.
He graduated from the High Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1976.

El-kholy’s rise to fame was slow and steady and he made a lasting name for himself in the Egyptian film industry with numerous domestic and international awards and countless remarkable Egyptian movies showcasing his impeccable acting skills.
He is distinguished by the ability to play the role of Al-Saeedi with high technology and skill, as he embodied the character of Al-Saeedi in many of his roles, so that some believed that his true dialect was the Sa’idi dialect, and perhaps the last of which was his most wonderful and influential performance in the series “Silsal Al-Dam”, which was very popular, he is the artist Riad El Khouly.
The villain star actually made his big breakthrough with his success in ‘Weght Nazar' theatre show and many remarkable films and stunning performances followed suit.
His magnificent performance in ‘Tyour El-Zalam’ film won much praise from Arab fans and critics alike.

In 2009, the artist Riad El-Khouly had a major accident, as his villa on the Al-Ahram Plateau caught fire, and he did not file any accusations against anyone, as the cause of the fire was due to the ignition of a cigarette butt.
