Today (August 7) marks the death anniversary of Dalal Abdel Aziz, who had an extensive artistic career spanning over three decades.
Abdel Aziz passed away at the age of 61 after a long struggle with COVID-19 symptoms in 2021.
She was born in El Sharkeya governorate in 1960 and earned her bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Agriculture at Zaqaziq University. Later, she relocated to Cairo where she was discovered by the late Egyptian director, Nour Al Damerdash, who recognized her talent.
Abdel Aziz participated in various theatrical productions such as "Faris bany Khaiban," "Akhouya Hayiss wa Ana Layiss," and "Houb fee Al Takhshibah," among others. Furthermore, her acting skills shone in the TV shows "La" and "Demou Sahibat al Galalah."
In 1998, she received the Best Actress Award at the Television Awards Festival.
The late renowned comedian Samir Ghanem was her husband, and she is the mother of two popular actresses, Donia Samir Ghanem and Amy Samir Ghanem.
