The Academy Award-nominated movie "The Whale" is coming to streaming after its December 9 theatrical release.

It will be available on Blu-ray, Digital, and DVD on March 14.

The release will feature additional behind-the-scenes bonus content, such as "People Are Amazing: Making The Whale," which focuses on the production, and "The Sounds of the Sea: Scoring The Whale", which offers audiences an inside look into the movie's captivating music.

The movie stars Brendan Fraser as a reclusive English teacher living with severe obesity, who attempts to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter, played by Sadie Sink.

It also stars Hong Chau, Ty Simpkins, and Samantha Morton, and others.

"The Whale" is directed by Darren Aronofsky and is based on the acclaimed play by Samuel D. Hunter of the same name.

The movie received its world premiere in Venice to an extended ovation, from where it went on to equally enthusiastic welcomes in Toronto and London.

After a brief hiatus from acting, "The Whale" signifies a triumphant comeback for the actor, which has been dubbed by many as the "Brennaissance".

The role also led to Fraser being a front-runner in the Best Actor category of the Academy Awards.
