After Sunday night’s season finale, the first glimpse of "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon" season 3 has been unveiled, showing a look at what’s in store when Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) arrive in Spain as their journey home continues.
"Daryl Dixon" season 2 ended with the main duo defending Ash (Manish Dayal) and Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi) as they escape to America in the latter's plane. While the pair head into the Chunnel for England, the psychedelic effects of bat guano lead to conflict, Daryl killing their guides and Codron (Romain Levi) running off. The duo are now traveling to England on their own.
The footage features Daryl and Carol finding Stephen Merchant's unnamed character in England, and are then seen on a sailboat before being shown in various locations in Spain. It concludes with the duo talking about how they almost thought their journey had come to an untimely end, hinting at their lives being in more danger than ever before this coming season.
The new season is set to premiere in 2025 on AMC and AMC+.
"The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon" season 3 was confirmed to be taking place in Spain before season 2 even aired, with location shooting including the Galicia, Aragón, Catalonia, and Valencia regions, each providing a new and unique backdrop for the post-apocalyptic world. The hit AMC show moved from France, where season two was filmed.
According to the logline: “Season three will follow Daryl Dixon and Carol Peletier as they continue their journey to somehow return home and to the ones they love. As they struggle to find their way back, the path takes them farther astray, leading them through distant lands with ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions as they witness the various effects of the Walker apocalypse.”
Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada, and Alexandra Masangkay join as series regulars in season three. Additional cast includes Candela Saitta, Hugo Arbués, Greta Fernández, Gonzalo Bouza, Hada Nieto, Yassmine Othman, Cuco Usín, and Stephen Merchant.
