The Syndicate of Musical Professions Obliges Singer Ahmed Saad to Apologize to Tunisian Women

Mustafa Kamel, Head of the Syndicate of Musical Professions, stated the events that took place at the singer Ahmed Saad’s last concert, which was held in Tunisia a few days ago.

The statement read: “In response to what was raised during the past three days regarding the events that took place in Tunisia.

The statement indicated that a dispute arose between Ahmed Saad and the organizers and contractors of the concert over the concert.

The Syndicate of Musical Professions in Egypt affirms the strength and solidity of the relations between the two brotherly countries, Egypt and Tunisia, at all levels.

The head of the musical Syndicate said that after a full investigation into the circumstances of the conflict by the General Syndicate for Musical Professions and with his responsibility as the Head of the General Syndicate of Egyptian Musicians, he decided the following:

Firstly, Obliging Singer Ahmed Saad to film a video containing an apology to the respected Tunisian women. In response to what he uttered of a phrase that includes (Shut up you or Dry up you).

Second: Admonishing the organizers of the concert in Tunisia for not informing the Egyptian Musicians Syndicate of the articles of the contracts concluded between it and the Egyptian artists in advance and before holding any artistic concerts.

Third: Addressing all the official authorities of the state to obtain an official letter from the Syndicate to travel abroad so that the syndicate guarantees

rights of its members and becomes responsible for all the actions of the members, whether positive or negative.

The General Syndicate calls on Egyptian musicians not to drift towards adding any racial dimension or discrimination.

The Syndicate stresses that the dispute that occurred must be limited to the parties and the terms of the contract concluded between them, without using phrases that affect the strong relations between Egypt and any sister Arab country.
