On Monday, Netflix released the official trailer for Ben Affleck and Matt Damon latest onscreen collaboration, "The Rip".
The Joe Carnahan-directed throwback crime thriller, which stars the longtime pals in a story inspired by true events, premieres January 16 on the giant streamer.
In "The Rip", a team of Miami cops begins to turn on each other after discovering $20 million in a derelict stash house, bringing outside forces into the mix as they struggle to determine who can be trusted.
The footage features Affleck and Damon in one tense, paranoid night as they attempt to count the haul without attracting attention. Their operation is threatened when other interested parties close in on the house to seize the cash.
Written and directed by Carnahan, from a story he co-wrote with Michael McGrale, the movie also stars Steven Yeun, Teyana Taylor, Sasha Calle, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Scott Adkins and Kyle Chandler.
Marking the first collaboration between Netflix and Artists Equity, "The Rip" producers include Affleck, Damon, Dani Bernfeld and Luciana Damon, with executive producers Kevin Halloran and Michael Joe for Artists Equity.
