The Palestinian Ministry of Health said on Tuesday that the violent and deliberate Israeli occupation aggression against Kamal Adwan Hospital, north of Gaza, forced medical staff and patients to evacuate it under fire of bombing.

The Ministry added, in a press statement, that the occupation forces targeted the hospital, where there were about 150 medical staff in various specialties, dozens of patients and wounded in intensive care and surgery, and a number of children in incubators.

She stated that the crews worked to transfer the sick and wounded in extremely difficult conditions to other treatment centers, which posed a great danger to their health condition, in addition to the continuous occupation fire around the hospital and the roads leading to it.

It stressed that the occupation’s aggression against Kamal Adwan and Al-Awda Hospitals is added to a long series of deliberate daily Israeli crimes against the health system in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, which led to 22 hospitals being completely out of service, and 14 are still operating partially in extremely critical conditions as a result of The escalation of aggression, the lack of personnel, equipment, medicine, and the large number of sick and wounded.

Since October 7, more than 500 medical personnel have been martyred as a result of the occupation’s aggression in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, the last of whom is the martyr, Doctor Aseed Jabareen, who was killed by the occupation forces in Jenin this morning, while on his way to work at Jenin Governmental Hospital.

The Ministry of Health sent a distress call to the international community, international human rights institutions and all health organizations, with the need to increase pressure on the occupation authorities to stop their deliberate aggression against the health sector with all its components, and to provide urgent protection as guaranteed by international human rights and international agreements.
