New Set of Awards Announced at 44th CIFF

Lynda Belkhiria, the Director of the Cairo Film Forum, announced the names of the projects that won in the ninth edition, at a ceremony on the sidelines of the 44th Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF).

The awards of the ninth edition of the Cairo Film Forum were as follows:

“The Last Man” movie won the "AH Media Production" award, with a value of $10,000.

“Theft of Fire” won the "Best Media" award, with a value of $10,000.

“Red Path” won the Red Sea Film Festival's prize of $10,000.

“My Dad’s A Farmer” won the Creative Media Solutions Award, with a value of $10,000.

“Bad Friend” won the Banque Misr Prize, with a value of $10,000, and the Film Independent, with a value of $10,000.

“Searching for Woody” won the $5,000 narration prize.

“Aziz Hala’s Aziz” won a narration prize of $5 for supervising the development of a script for a feature film project.

“Bella” won the Traveler's Media Award, with a value of $10,000.

“Over Three Days” won two Lagooni Film Production Awards, with a value of $5,000, and the Arab Radio and Television Network, with a value of $10,000.

“Inshallah A Boy” won two Reese Studios Awards, valued at $10,000, and a DCP Award from The Cell Company.

“The Seasons of Jannet” won the $15,000 The Seal Award for making the teaser and advertising introduction for a project in the post-production stage.

“A Butterfly Hug” won Synergy Films Award, valued at $10,000, and also won the Film Independent Award; the film is a detailed story consultation and film meetings in Los Angeles.

“Cotton Queen” won a distribution and marketing grant in the Arab world from the Mad Solutions Company, amounting to $50,000.

“Lamp in the Dark” is out of competition, and it won an award for its importance from the MAD Solutions company for distribution and marketing in the Arab world, with a value of $50,000.

"Let's Play Soldiers" won the Arab Cinema Center Award, and it is an invitation for an Arab producer to participate in the Rotterdam Festival workshop, as well as Rawat, which is a consulting and mentoring session for filmmaking.

“A Butterfly Hug” and “Bad Friend” movies won two Film Independent Awards in partnership with the US Embassy in Cairo, which is a virtual stay that includes consulting and developing film scripts.
