In light of the resumption of the tourist movement to Egypt by early July, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has chosen a number of archaeological sites and museums to be reopened to the public as a first stage in preparation for the gradual opening of all museums and sites.
In press statements, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Dr. Moustafa Al-Waziri said that those museums are Al-Nuba museum, Luxor museum, Egyptian museum in El-Tahrir, Islamic art museum, the Coptic museum.
In addition to eight archaeological sites, including; Abu Simble temple, the Philae Temple Complex in Aswan, the Karnak temple, the valley of the kings in Luxor, the Giza Pyramids, and Salah El-Din Castle in Cairo.
