The first look at “The Marvels”, the sequel to 2019's “Captain Marvel”, has finally been unveiled.

The sequel is the 33rd movie in the MCU and is one of the most highly anticipated projects hitting the big screen this year.

Not much is known about the plot, except it will feature Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, a fighter pilot turned superhero.

The sequel will see her teaming up with Captain Marvel super-fan, Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, played by Iman Vellani. Vellani made her debut in the MCU in the Disney+ series "Ms. Marvel", which premiered on June 8, 2022.

Teyonah Parris and Zawe Ashton will also star in the movie.

Moreover, Samuel L. Jackson is set to reprise his role as agent Nick Fury in the upcoming sequel.

Filmmaker Nia DaCosta will direct the sequel from a script by Megan McDonnell. The first Captain Marvel movie was released in 2019 and earned $1.1 billion globally.

The cast also included Jude Law, Ben Mendelsohn, Annette Bening, Gemma Chan, and Lashana Lynch, whose onscreen daughter Monica Rambeau will appear in WandaVision (this time as an adult and played by Candyman actor Teyonah Parris).

The movie hails from directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck and featured Nick Fury (Jackson), in his early days, teaming up with the great Captain Marvel to battle a new threat.

"The Marvels" hits the big screen on November 10.
