Disney announced Thursday that the highly anticipated third season of "The Mandalorian" will premiere on March 1, 2023, on Disney+.
The studio also unveiled a photo of Mando Din Djarin (Pascal/Brendan Wayne) and his sweet son Grogu, a.k.a. Baby Yoda, peeking up from some type of newfangled galactic machinery.
Anticipation for the flagship series has been at a high since the release of the first teaser for "The Mandalorian" Season 3 at the Star Wars Celebration in the spring.
The footage showed Mando reuniting with his adopted son after the events of "The Book of Boba Fett", which saw Grogu reject the ways of the Jedi and return to Mando’s side.
Now together again, they appear en route to Mandalore, where they reunite with old ally Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), who had her eyes and desires set on reclaiming the legendary Darksaber now in Din’s possession, which according to Mandalorian lore entitles the wielder to rule over all Mandalore.
The upcoming season also follows the Clan of Two journey to Mandalore, seemingly as part of Mando's quest for atonement after taking his helmet off.
It also sees Katee Sackhoff's return as Mandalorian leader Bo-Katan Kryze, who does not mince words with Mando when it comes to how his "cult fractured our people."
Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Giancarlo Esposito will also reprise their roles in the third season, which will also feature everyone's favorite tiny droidmaster, Babu Frik.
