Irish actor and film producer Pierce Brosnan's "The Last Rifleman" will be released in Egyptian cinemas on Wednesday, January 17.

"The Last Rifleman" is an emotional and poignant war movie inspired by true events.

The pic features Brosnan as Artie Crawford, this heartfelt story takes audiences on a journey of bravery, friendship, and self-discovery.

Set in Northern Ireland, the pic follows the life of Artie Crawford, a World War II veteran residing in a care home. Devastated by the recent loss of his beloved wife, Artie finds solace and purpose in his memories of the war.

As the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings approaches, Artie makes a daring decision that will change his life forever.

On a mission to pay his final respects to his best friend, Artie clandestinely escapes his care home and embarks on an arduous and soul-stirring journey to Normandy, France. Fueled by determination and a desire to confront the ghosts of his past, Artie sets out to find closure and rediscover the courage that defined his youth.

"The Last Rifleman" beautifully captures the heartache, resilience, and triumph of the human spirit, this remarkable film not only pays homage to the brave soldiers who fought during World War II but also explores themes of love, loss, and the enduring bonds of friendship. 

Through Artie's journey, audiences are reminded of the sacrifices made by previous generations and the importance of honoring their legacy.

Distributed in the Arab World by Four Star Films, with worldwide rights going to Sky Cinema, the film is a co-production between Wee Buns Films, Ripple World Pictures, Ingenious Media, and Singer Studios.

"The Last Rifleman" also stars acclaimed actors John Amos, Clémence Poésy, and Jürgen Prochnow.

The movie is directed by Terry Loane, written by Kevin Fitzpatrick, lensed by Mark McCauley, and edited by John Walter's.
