The Egypt Fashion Awards winners have been announced.
Thewinners were named at a ceremony held at the Mall of Arabia amid the attendee of fashion lovers.
Twenty out of 130 designers had made it to the finalists. They presented their designs on the catwalk for four different fields:
• Young Designers: Basant Maximus, Marina Azer, Nada Hosny, Alaa Abu AL Jood, and Asma El Degwy.
• Emerging Designers: Moaaz El Behairy, Ahmed Saadi, Double A, AliaMarina Azzer Abaza, and Rasha Pasha.
• Accessory Designers: Jarii, The Bag, Aliel, Rasha Basha, and Jlood.
• Jewelry Designer: Menna Bodi, Reem Jano, Mimz, Roknayah Design, and Ammanii.

* Winners
Moaaz El Behairy, Marina Azer, Reem Jano, and Jarii came first place in their respective categories.
They are set to travel to the United Kingdom to participate in the London Fashion Week in September 2022.

* Jury
A high-profile jury of fashion industry members and celebrities had selected and crowned the winners.
The jury members include:
– Susan Sabet, co-founder EFDC, Publisher Pashion magazine
– Industrialist Paul Antaki
– Yasmine Elhamalaw fDesigner Azza Fahmy
–Designer Rami Kadi
– Actress Salma Abu Deif
– Cathy Costain, MBE, Head of Arts Programme, British Council

Kathy says: “We believe that the creative industries bring great economic and social benefits to every country, so we are constantly keen to support policymakers, creative leaders, and creative entrepreneurs to develop their businesses, build relationships with sectors related to their businesses in Britain, and provide them with a place on the international scene,” Costain said.
“Therefore, we at the British Council are pleased to contribute to the implementation of this concept in Egypt through our participation in the Egypt Fashion Awards competition,” she added.

* The 16 finalist
As for the 16 finalists, Mall of Arabia will host for free a showroom for them to display their designs for a year out of support of the youth.
"We stand side by side to enhance the promotion and marketing sector for the Egyptian fashion sector to be advanced, appear in its best form, and advertise it," added Nadia Ezz, Marketing Director of Marakez.
*Event organization
Yousse Sebahi had organized the ceremony, which was presented with classness and professionalism that suited the importance of the event.
The event was hosted by Hader Khaled, who wore an astonishing dress designed by Hisham Aboul Ela. The models were glammed up by Mohamed Al Sagheer.
